The Rosling lecture, June 21st, 2007, the Closing Plenary Talk
A quick look at the evaluation forms shows that the presentation by Hans Rosling, Professor in International Health, from Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, was the outstanding one of them all. This, together with that of Professor David Perkins, made the last day something to consider and to remember for a long, long time.

Rosling's presentation, showing that there are really a number of positive changes on the global arena, is best understood interactively, where you can select different countries, parameters, and time periods, and study the evolution or sometimes revolution. You can start by just enjoying two of Rosling's talks available on the Internet, not recorded at our conference but with a similar message:

both from http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks.

Please be curious and explore more yourself by dowloading the graphics tools and exploring the possibilities at http://www.gapminder.org/downloads/applications/!

Put http://www.gapminder.org/downloads/applications/ among your Bookmarks/Favorites to help you to remember that there is hope and that changes take place, provided there are people understanding what to do and capable of acting.
